What did you think of Son of Oscar Wilde? Did you find it interesting?

aluvalibri: very quick read - I got through it, including the appendices, in about 3 hours. Definitely worth reading if you're even mildly a Wilde fan, and I'm sure even someone who isn't will find the human tragedy gripping. Clean, sometimes brisk, prose. I found it very interesting, as I knew the sad story of Wilde's downfall, but had no idea what happened to his family beyond the death of his wife soon after he was released from prison (and he never saw her again after his arrest). Vyvyan whines a bit about his elder brother, but overall it's a poignant tale of a mostly miserable childhood and adolescence, perpetrated by misguided, frightened relatives in terror of being connected with Wilde or having his sons even acknowledge his existence.
