How do I delete a collection?

I'm sure the answer is somewhere, in a wiki or something. But I don't know the quick way to find it.

So, how do I delete a collection? (An empty one.) I don't see a way in "edit collections."

Thanks.

At the top of your catalog, on the far left, you'll see the box with the drop down list of collections. Open that, and at the bottom you should see "edit collections". From the list that opens, couble-click on the one you want to delete, and you'll see an option to do so.

Delete the Text, and then a Delete Button will show up.

oops, yep didn't notice that the delete button is there for all MY created collections and not for the standard ones...

Some people use the hash sign to denote non-subject tags such as those used for locations and to make them sort to the beginning of the tag list. However I have no idea what you mean by "Amazon" tags.

I can see how I might edit new collections that I have added, but I cannot see how I may delete any of the six standard collections in place, for example, Wishlist or To Read.

Please advise. James

>8 minister: You cannot delete the default collections. For the ones you had created, there is a "Delete" button when you open their details. With the ones that are there by default, the only thing you can do is to disable them (unclick the checkbox before Active). That will hide them from your list of collections.

You cannot delete the standard collections. However, you can mark them "Inactive", and also exclude them from being used for recommendations.
