Tatts

A friend told me about her tattoo recently, and it reminded me of Tiny Ewell's temporary obsession with viewing up close and personal (except when such viewing became a "Boundary issue") every Ennet House resident's tattoos. My favorite quote from that section (pp. 205-211) is this:

"Ennet House alumnus and volunteer Calvin Thrust is quietly rumored to have on the shaft of his formerly professional porn-cartridge-performer's Unit a tattoo that displays the magiscule initials CT when the Unit is flaccid and the full name CALVIN THRUST when hyperemic. Tiny Ewell has soberly elected to let this go unsubstantiated."

Anybody have or know of anybody with a tatt like that?

A plastic surgeon got in hot water after taking photos of a patient's unit that had flames and "hot rod" tattooed 'pon it.

okay, not a plastic surgeon, like, but accurate otherwise: http://www.azcentral.com/community/scottsdale/articles/1218mayophoto1219.html?&a...

#3, Ok, off topic, but the guy is quoted saying "But now I feel violated, betrayed and disgusted. " - He runs a topless bar! the irony...

I have a pretty incredible tattoo story about a person I met on the train last week. It's worthy of DFW, and if he had been me, there would have been a great short story written about it. More later though, I am at work.

I think I posted this in another thread, but I don't think it was in this group: A few weeks ago, I saw a girl walking down the street wearing a shirt that left her midriff exposed. Also exposed was a tattoo in large font across her abdomen that read "TO THY OWN SELF BE TRUE." I had to stifle a laugh.

Not sure if we're on-topic anymore but following on misspelled tattoos, a Finnish b-list celebrity had a great one a few years back that said, "There were is mill there is a road". I don't think a mere DFW-esque "sic" is enough in this case.

Ugh, those fake-heart-on-their-sleeves children get up my nose a bit (except for the feet guy of course). Clearly the only Wallace-quoting text tattoo worth a damn is "To the library, and step on it!"
