I don't know if this falls too far outside LT's mission, but I think it would be useful to add searchable tags to the quotation field. That would transform a curious piece of data into a useful tool for finding that perfect quote for the situation. It could also lead people towards new authors.
I'd love to be able to cite a page number as well, but without the minefield of an edition layer I can't see how it could work.

I often mark page number in square brackets. I know this varies by edition, in some cases I also list the year to clarify, e.g. 199 / 1909. I haven't had to worry about clarifying which number is year and which page number, but that's probably something I should do.
I'd also suggested that we make a feed or module that displays quotes, whether only from my books or from LT in general. I think that would be great fun to see on my Home page.
