Is it just in An Unsuitable Attachment where a cat seems to play such a vital role? Faustina seems to pop up in every chapter and she is spoiled rotten by her owner! I don't recall pets being so prominent in any of the other Pym novels I've read so far.

I think there are a few disgusting lapdogs mentioned in passing, but I don't remember any other pet being as important to a plot as Faustina. There is a photo of Pym holding a cat, isn't there?

>3 christiguc:: that one was on the cover of Less than Angels, which I just read this month. It kind of reminded me of that Cat Massage Lady on YouTube.
