Given the nature of the tag combination/separation votes, splitting a tag is challenging. I just suggested splitting 6th century (a fairly small tag), which involves:
prosfilaes has proposed separating the tag 628070 6th century and 5918976 CE06.
prosfilaes has proposed separating the tag 628070 6th century and 5699664 6th century AD.
prosfilaes has proposed separating the tag 628070 6th century and 748691 6th century ad.
prosfilaes has proposed separating the tag 628070 6th century and 400709 ce06.
prosfilaes has proposed separating the tag 628070 6th century and 173995 ad.06.
Hopefully, they will succeed; if not, hopefully they will all fail. If they do succeed, at that point, several weeks in the future, I have to find all the tags I separated out and proposed them for combination. What would be easier would be one vote:

6th century, 6th Century, 6th c, sixth century, 6th C., 06th Century, 06th century, 6th c., 6thCentury, 06th C., Sixth Century, 06th c., 6thcentury, 6th C
and

Not only would it be easier for me, it would be easier for people to vote on, since in the second, unlike the first, it's fairly clear what type of distinction I'm making in my separation.
