Today the API only offers tags support but no support for collections.

It would be nice of you to add support for collections in the API since many of the users of my Facebook app are asking support for collections such as the "Currently Reading" and "Wishlist" collections which are actually supported in the widgets.

It would be great to display the books by collections on facebook. The interface could show a shelf (or a row) for each selected collection. And by the way, thanks for this great fb app, Claude.

Me, too! I'd like to be able to use the API to request books in my "To Read" collection in order to sort them.

I agree totally. One twist, I want to share a series for people interested in a theme that runs through 4 or 5 books written on a common thread or topic. Don't know how much this varies, in the code, from doing a collection.

While you're at it, you could add collections to the tab-delimited export.

I don't currently use collections, but if this feature were added so that I could have collections displayed on Facebook with the LibraryThing FB app, I would probably start using them. Please add it.

>5 lorax:

If you mean LT's tab-delimited export, "collections" are in column 22 as a comma-separated list as "your collections" are formatted in column 23.

28> No, this (and the two other posts cvedovini asked all his facebook users to comment on with a "me too") is something totally different.

A "currently reading" widget for facebook is a wonderful idea.
