I know that I'm going to be at the National Bookfestival on Sept 25, down in DC. We also have a meet up planned.

I've never been to the Baltimore one, but funds are tight for that far a drive for me this year...

I have other plans for Sunday or I'd do both. Of course, I'll be at the National Book Festival meet-up on Saturday since I planned it (this is the 5th year).
Seriously, folks, next year we should plan a Book Weekend and DO BOTH!! It would be worthwhile for people from out of town since DC and Baltimore are only an hour's drive away from each other. We could do Saturday in DC AND Sunday in Baltimore.
I have been to the Baltimore Book Festival in the past, and it's also lots of fun. That's where I first learned about The Book Thing, and life has not been the same since. (BTW, I grew up in Baltimore!)
Fabulous Suggestion:
For those who want a fun read before the Baltimore Book Festival, read Barry Levinson's novel Sixty-Six. It is so..., well..., Baltimore of the sixties!! I just loved it. Part of the novel takes place in Mount Vernon Square, the exact setting of the Baltimore Book Festival.
Enjoy that glorious weekend...
