After a hiatus, you can now upload "venue" images again.
The new system allows multiple images per venue.
Example: Brookline Booksmith

Hoorah!
I just added the photos my brother took for me over the summer to two venues, but I got something weird: the first time I did it for http://www.librarything.com/venue/54794/Chamblin-Uptown I put the copyright info in the wrong spot, so I clicked to edit the photo and instead it deleted itself. Also, after I re-added it, with the attribution in the proper spot, I found that my profile picture had switched to the one I'd stored, waiting for this day.
It was very strange, but seems to have been settled, so I don't really know what happened at all. I'm just happy to have venue photos working again. Yay!

The deleted photos when editing is a known bug. There's a couple of threads on it already. Happened with me just recently with the Bruce Boxleitner photos.
Looks like it's been happening a lot lately. Look at all those blanks:

The blank on the photo I tried to upload wasn't due to an attempt at editing. For some reason, it just didn't upload from the Flickr URL.

3> Fun! Somehow I didn't notice reports about the editing photo = deletion thing, but it didn't seem as strange to me as my profile picture changing afterward.

Sweet! The only thing is, how on earth do you see your pictures after you've uploaded them? I can't see any link to photos of venue, or more pictures, other than clicking on the primary images and figuring it out from there.

Also, if I click on the see full gallery page: http://www.librarything.com/gallery/venue/11 I get an error:
Gallery: Error
Not a gallery type.

Haven't looked around much yet, but take Tim's example. If you scroll down a bit you'll see the other pictures below the map.

I will look into the deleting bug. I had it happen to me, but then not the next time. Not sure what the bug is "hooked" to.
But for the next few hours I am picking apples in an orchard in Maine!

Ah, the gallery should be disabled for venues. I'll look into that. A file didn't get pushed.

10- Thanks. That's totally below the fold on my laptop screen and I didn't think to look down there for photos.

New photos aren't showing up in the Helpers log (I've just done six I've been sitting on for months):
