I'm starting a 3rd challenge to read 50 books in a year. It's taken me longer than a year for the past 2 challenges, so I'm still working toward that one year goal. I finished my 50th book for last year's challenge a couple of days ago and started right in reading another.
This morning I finished The Merry Wives of Maggody by Joan Hess. This is one of the Arly Hanks mysteries. Though I enjoy the Claire Malloy series more, this series is very funny.

I fiinished my August Early Reviewers book: Iron Wagon by Al and Joanna Lacy. It's set in the late 1800's in the US west and southwest.
I've been enjoying the Christian fiction I've received in the ER program. Actually, I've enjoyed every ER book I've received, except this one. Very preachy, flat prose, didn't care about the characters.

Oh, no. You HAVE to give yourself credit for ALL the books you've read in calendar year 2010. Let 2009 go! Let's see what you've read since January!
It took my 3rd (calendar year) to hit 50. I did it this year.
Best of luck and good reading, whichever way you log your completed books!

Thanks, Sandydog1!
Finished up Catching Fire and Mockingjay both by Suzanne Collins. Good thing it was a 3 day weekend because I don't think I could have waited to read these. Had to find out the ending of the trilogy.

Finished a few more:
A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson, My Life in France by Julia Child, A Bitter Truth by Charles Todd, and It Happened on the Way to War by Rye Barcott.
I don't think I'll finish 50 books by Sept 24 which will be a year since I started this challenge. So I'll probably just finish out 2011 to see how many books I read by then and start over in 2012.

Finished Fannie's Last Supper by Christopher Kimball. I've been reading this one off and on since mid-spring. Very interesting look back at the era of Fannnie Farmer and I wanted to take it in "courses" like the recreated meal.
