I get to do a podcast with Nancy Pearl for the December State of the Thing about her new book Book Lust To Go. If you'd like to ask her a question, post it here!
Also, you can request Book Lust To Go in the October batch of Early Reviewers books.

I already requested the book. I love to read books about the places I visit, both fiction and non fiction. I laughed when she said about Ireland, "Let's not start with James Joyce and say we did." I'd like to go to Ireland one day, but I'm not all that interested in reading Joyce.

I'd like to know how many books Nancy currently has in her TBR pile!

>3 VictoriaPL: Maybe we can take bets :) We can start a pool, and the winner who is closest without going over gets a LT teeshirt! You in?

>4 sonyagreen: Sounds like a bet I would lose (but I'm still game)! I'll have to give it some thought. Thanks for making it fun, Sonya.

My favorite food critic once said that (paraphrasing) in order to find the wonderful undiscovered gems, he had to eat a lot of really bad meals at deservedly undiscovered non-gems. I'd be curious as to whether Nancy winds up reading, or at least starting, a lot of bad books -- or at least books not to her taste, in order to find the more obscure good ones.
(I requested ...To Go too, but with 1000+ requests for 20 copies it doesn't look good. Maybe the winner of the TBR-pile contest can get a copy of the book instead!)
