The Grandpa Book by Todd Parr is filled with bright and colorful pages. It is all about grandpas; where they live, what they do and the ways they make us laugh.

Grandpas are important in our family. My children were very close to theirs. They lost him to cancer two years ago. I read this book to them and they enjoyed comparing their grandpa to the ones in the book.

I would read this story in class during the study of the family tree. The children could write a book about their grandpas. For younger children I would make up a fill in the blank book about grandpas. I would also like the children to write letters to their grandpas, telling them all about the ways they touch our lives.

Great story that illustrates what some Grandpas do and what all Grandpas do. For example: Some Grandpas live with a Grandma. All Grandpas like to make you laugh.
The pictures are colourful, bright and contrasting. My toddler loves the book. There is also a spot on the inside of the back cover to put a picture of your child's Grandpa.

This is a cute book for preschool children. The book has the sweet funny things that grand parents like to do for their grand children.
