Definitely enjoying this series. It's so feel-good!

It's the second volume in a series about a geeky guy who meets a girl and who doesn't know what to do - how to dress, where to go, what to say. He has help from his online community which is good and bad. At least the girl really likes him so she's pretty patient.

Ready for the next volume. . . . ( )

Enjoyable, not the best, but fun nonetheless. Again, my background from reading the novel makes it better. Though I doubt that was a problem in Japan, since the original Train Man story was extremely popular and part of popular culture. I do like the way Hara breaks up the story between the three volumes. There's just enough tension to make you pick up the next book. ( )

This review is for all three books in the series.

Interesting story with decent humour and the artwork isn't all that bad.

I have a problem with the moral of the story though. The whole point of the work is that the main character changes his entire life just to get the pretty girl. Instead of trying to have her accept his as he is, he has to change his clothes, his appearance, what he likes, his habits, and all the rest. In other words, he becomes a fake.

While love may be more important, is living as a lie for how ever long this relationship lasts worth it? After all, the very end of book 3 has him introducing her to what he enjoys without her seeming to be upset about it. ( )

DO NOT COMBINE w/ Wataru Watanabe's nor Daisuke Douke's series'!!!!

This version of Train Man was illustrated by HIDENORI HARA and published by VIZ. It is NOT the same as the version illustrated by Wataru Watanabe (published by CMX) nor Daisuke Douke's (Taifu Comics).

Though they each were inspired by the same maybe-real-life story, they are three totally SEPARATE works from different authors and publishers!
