Story set in plague times when a young girl is rescued from a village desecrated by the black plague, by a strange dancing lady and her group of followers. The Lady believes that if you dance, the plague can’t touch you. But in reality the Lady has bipolar disorder, as she rarely eats and is in the “up” phase of the depression. Back of the book has lots of factual information – recipes, notes, etc.p.1-5 when Lady dance comes
