A nice average love story ( )

In Macomber’s romance novel, Susannah Simmons is career oriented. She has a 5-year-plan of success already written. Her neighbor, Nate Townsend, is the most attractive man she has ever met and she has trouble keeping her eyes off of him. But Nate is a homebody who prefers family fun to success and long hours. While Susannah is determined to succeed in her career, she can’t help but wonder if she has forfeited the most precious thing in life for the pursuit of success.

As always, Macomber can spin a wonderful love yarn. ( )

rabck from fathermurphy; very early Debbie book, and defnitely in the Harlequin formula plot. Susannah had her career plans mapped out - and they didn't include falling in love with her no ambition, no job neighbor. Nate seems to be just having fun, and Susannah suspected he just inherited money. But he's really the former owner of a very successful cookie franchise chain, and is now stepping back and regrouping. And he thinks work-a-holic Susannah should do the same. ( )
