A very peculiar book, if compared to many other YEAR-books. A more apposite title would've been "The World In The First Quarter Of The XVII century". Be aware, if you're into one-year-history titles.
This is a gorgeous book with glossy pages and color photos interspersed every few pages. The book examines what happened everywhere in the world during the year 1616. Dip into it at any point and become engrossed in 17th century.
Good stuff, though lags toward the end.
