About Me

Retired from the workforce, but that gives me more time to read and talk about books!

I am obsessed with book lists.

I'm in several book clubs--my local library, a neighborhood book club, and at Folio: The Seattle Athenaeum.

One of my first jobs was as a bookseller, and I managed a Waldenbooks back in ancient times.

I was previously the Board President for Folio: The Seattle Athenaeum, located at Pike Place Market, and also served on the Advancement Board for the University of Washington Press.

I worked in the technology and publishing industries for over 25 years, where I was an acquisitions editor and fostered authors’ book ideas into bestselling technology and how-to series for several major publishers.

I was also at the forefront of the online learning revolution at Microsoft, LinkedIn, and Lynda.com, managing experts and developing content strategy.

I live in the Pacific Northwest overlooking Hood Canal on the Salish Sea. I also am down at the south end of the canal frequently in Union, WA.
