Description
The Myth. The Magic. Dominarian legends speak of a mighty conflict, obscured by the mists of history. Of a conflict between the brothers Urza and Mishra for supremacy on the continent of Terisiare. Of titantic engines that scarred and twisted the very planet. Of a final battle that sank continents and shook the skies. The saga of the Brothers' War.Tags

Livro relacionado à antiga coleção do jogo Magic the Gathering - Antiquities.
Surprisingly well written for what it is. Occasionally lapses into fantasy racism (by way of fantasy Islamophobia) but otherwise manages to be somewhat progressive especially considering what some series can be like.
I've played MtG off and on or several years now, but this is actually the first time I've read one of the novels. I'm actually on a quest to locate and collect (and eventually read) as many of them as I can get my hands on.
Having played the game, I found myself quite excited by the story presented as it brings the various flavors and nuances of the game to life.
That aside, as a novel it is very well written. I agree with Margaret Weis' quote on the cover "An exciting tale of intrigue and betrayal." Although I had some idea of what was about to occur from being a player and collector of the card game, Jeff Grubb still writes in such a way as to make it exciting and unpredictable. An excellent read and I can't wait to read more in this show more multi-novel/multi-author series. show less

A truly excellent Magic novel, which tells a story of epic scope while developing complex and interesting characters.
