A cute book in which Froggy is going to have a sleepover at his friend Max's house. After a series of kid size problems, Froggy and Max eventually fall asleep. Poor parents! A good book to prepare any child for their first sleepover. =)

However this drives Froggy to suggest they switch to his house. Suddenly Max wishes to go home and they flip flop throughout the whole night between houses because both boys are too nervous to sleep anywhere else. They eventually fall asleep at 9 in the morning at Max's house. In the book "Froggy's sleepover," Froggy is going to his friend Max's house for his first sleepover. Froggy comes home for school on Friday all excited about sleeping over at his friends house. He grabs his big sack and puts his sleeping bag in, a pillow, his pajamas, and some underware. as he's walking out the door his mother asked hime if he forgot his huggy (a doll). Of course he did, so he hopped back and grabbed it. He started out the door again and his mother yelled at him asking him about his toothbrush. Froggy did forget it, so he went back and got it. As he's walking out the door he mother tells him to remember to brush before bed. After Froggy got to Max's house he dumped all his things on the floor and got ready for bed. show more "It's only four o'clock" said Max. When it became bed time Froggy and Max got into their sleeping bags, but couldn't go to sleep. Throughout the night Froggy and Max went back and fourth between each other's house. Then about nine o'clock in the morning they finally fell asleep.
I have always loved the froggy books because they are always talking about how Froggy is forgetting things as he's doing something. He always has to go back and get the items that he forgot.
As a future teacher who is wanting to teach the younger grades, I would like to have a collection of the Froggy books to put in my classroom. The children will be able to read and enjoy the books as I have even as an adult. show less

Cute little situation that honestly disturbed me. I can't say that even I would allow this madness. My kids have asked several times if they could do this, and the thing is I have never met their parents and they haven't made the attempt to contact me; about said sleepovers. As a parent I would only that my kids would go to a trusted friends house, one where I trust their parents. All in all I'm just rambling so carry on with your night.
Spooky Readings.

Genre: Fantasy
Style: Froggy's Sleepover is a good book to use when learning about onamonapia's. Throughout the book as Froggy prepares and goes to his sleepover, many sounds are incorporated into the writing of the book.
Review: Froggy's Sleepover is about a young frog who has his first sleepover. However, many things get in the way of making the sleepover successful...until the next morning when he and his friend finally fall asleep. This book is a good example of fantasy because the story, characters, setting, and events are made to be believable. The story is extremely believable and the actual storyline could happen in real life to children, the entire story is based off of a fictional frog character.

For some 20 years before he penned his first children's book, London was writing poetry and short stories for adults. In the early 1970s, he was reading his poems in San Francisco jazz clubs, and those experiences found their way into his witty children's book Hip Cat, which has been featured on the PBS children's television show Reading Rainbow. After writing down the tale The Owl Who Became the Moon in 1989, London began to wonder if other people might want to read it. He picked up his kids' copy of Winnie-the-Pooh and saw that the book was published by Dutton, so he casually decided to send his story to them. Surprisingly enough, they wanted to publish him.
