A cute ABC book with many interesting animals that I had never heard of before, or never seen a picture of. There is a note at the beginning that zoo-born animals help scientists study them and better help animals in the wild. Truthfully, it's not my favorite ABC book. Some pages have interesting facts about the animals but several are general, bland comments about what the animal is doing in the picture. I would prefer that every page have an interesting fact related to the animal, since that's what the book claims that zoo-borns do - help scientists study them and gain more information about them.
Absolutely adorable! The animals are so cute and I liked how they used some species that aren't typically the first name that comes to mind when thinking of an animal that starts with that letter so it also introduces children to new animal species! Plus each comes with a couple cute sentences.
This book uses real and accurate images of baby animals to help readers learn the alphabet. Each page includes a letter of the alphabet in larger font, with a photo of the accompanying young animal and an interesting fact about that animal. This book does a great job of mixing letters and nature to engage students. It would be great for a classroom read aloud, or at home.
ABC: Zooborns is not your typical alphabet book because it shows different species with factual descriptions. It has real life photos and at least two or three sentences on a page to give children enough information to want to know more. Children will want to study more about these creatures and some of them are endangered so they will be made aware of that as well.
I feel as though this book would be a great addition to a classroom. It incorporates adorable animals with the use of the alphabet. It is a short and simple read but perfect for the beginning reader.
MAKE ME MELT!!! I love to photography in this book. The animals are so cute and so tiny. I like how the pictures were done in photos and not drawings, it gives the kids a real chance to relate to what the animals really look like. I think my favorite is the aardvark, he looks like a pig with a long snout.
This is the cutest little ABC book. Each animal is shown by the letter of it's name and it adds something cute that is says. This was adorable and would attract the attention of any child and help them learn their ABC's.
