Description
Alone, and finding herself in the care of strangers, English-born Nancy Wilson is devastated by separation from her father and grievous conditions at her new home. A burning desire for independence creates a strong character as she tackles life's harsh realities.Tags

My only criticism of the book is that the characters are a little to perfect. And while the writing is good it could be better, more passionate. But otherwise a good introduction to this era.
