This should have been the end of the series; it's hard to imagine how Saberhagen could top the climatic confrontation in this book. Dracula is seeking a famous relic of ages past, and having to fight both foes and potential allies until the truth is revealed.

As well written as "Thorn", I didn't like the story line quite as much, so it got 3 stars. It was good. This time we revisited the Arthurian legend from a unique perspective. Well worth reading.
This book almost seems like it wasn’t written by Saberhagen. Apart from the language being written differently, there were several spelling errors, and I can’t remember any errors in any of his other books. It wasn’t terribly exciting either. It was a bit disappointing, and makes me wonder if he had it ghost-written by someone else…
