Before Dick Wolf's infamous shows with the tag line, "Ripped from the headlines, " there was Harold Robbins. In Where Love Has Gone Robbin created the story of Luke Carey and his ex-wife Nora, along with his daughter Danielle who is loosely based on the scandalous story of the actual murder of Johnny Stompanto supposedly stabbed to death by Lana Turner's daughter. The story begins with Luke Carey waking from a dead sleep by a phone call telling him that his daughter Danielle has killed her ex-wife's lover. So begins the turmoil of a story rich with deceit, betrayal and the truth that will grip you from page one. Alluring characters brilliantly created by Robbins can easily see why so many fans still 50 years laters are reading his novels. ( )

Not my favourite from this author. I skipped sections as I wanted to get to the end; although I knew what the end would be. ( )
