This book is a little hard to find and maybe a bit pricey- but it is worth every cent. If you can't buy it, then try to find it at your local library or on a library site like the Internet Archive for free. Filled to the brim with accounts of odd historical events and unsettling stories- it is absolutely one of the best books ever published documenting such strange occurences. It is my favorite book on the subject matter. You will find things like UFOs, possessions, mysterious disappearances, weird coincidences, unnerving ghost stories and monster sightings in this book. Not a great deal of pictures, but enough to stoke interest further. It is rather text heavy but the stories and articles are so compelling and are addictive to read. I show more was incredibly captivated by this book even at a young age and it never failed its charms on me as I aged. It's one of the best examples of a page turner regarding nonfiction I can recommend. There's something for everyone in this book- and you are 100% guaranteed to hear something you've never heard before at least once in this book. If you are a fan of the occult, take it from me- you have to have this book. show less

First words
The present is our only point of reference for the past and for the future, and our awareness of any happening must obviously occur somewhat after the actual event. What, then, are we to make of the time warp that allows some... (show all) people to prophesy that which will happen in the future?
