Slinky Malinky is a cat who likes to steal things. Slinky goes out at night, finds things and brings them home. One night, though, Slinky gets too carried away and ends up with more things than he can handle. This adorably written and illustrated book by Lynley Dodd chronicles Slinky's nighttime misadventures.
This tale in rhyme of a naughty cat was one of our toddler favourites. The author's style has fantastic rhythm and pace which makes for brlliant reading aloud. As cat-lovers we preferred the exploits of Slinky Malinki to her earlier creation Hairy Maclary.

A sing-song rhyming story of an mischievous, adventurous cat. Wonderful for building vocabulary.
All of the books by this author are rythming and fun to read. However the ones about slinky malinki, a very naughty cat, are particularly brilliant. I'm known by my friends children as the book aunty, as i always buy them books; subsquently all the children i know have had a copy of this bought for them.
Not bad! A bit beyond me pre-birth but I enjoy it now.
A cute rhyming book about a naughty cat who gets himself into a bit of trouble with his thieving ways. My son loved this when he was small.
