I didn't think this series could've gotten any better than the first two books...but it just kept building to a thunderous crescendo. I realize we individuals come in all shapes, sizes and "uniqueness"...however for the life of me I cannot fathom anyone giving this third and final installment of the CONSEQUENCES TRILOGY anything less than 5✮'s. In a word, it's brutally phenomenal! Never have I been so captivated with a series since Fifty Shades of Grey...and even though this story is absolutely nothing like FSOG, it's still a non-interrupted, glued to your seat page turner.

He's very tall, very dark with his black hair and penetrating black/brown eyes, and very handsome....and he's deadly. He's power personified. He's severely show more aggressive, controlling, condescending and demanding. He can be a charming and polite gentleman when he wants to. ...he doesn't want to. Not usually anyway. He's abrasive, abusive and brutal. He's a total dominant authority in all things. He's mesmerizing, callous and commanding. He is Anthony Rawlings...and with Claire, well...he's possessive and obsessed with her. And... he's changing...Claire has become his "saving grace" and no one is more surprised than Anthony..aka: Tony, aka: Anton. She has become his absolute reason for living. He's now (in this third book)...oh so gradually...turned from a tormented & damaged empty soul whose only outlet was rage and cruelty, to an all consuming, passionate man in love with his wife. He adores her and claims her with pride. In this third installment, Tony begins to heal.

Twenty-eight year old Claire Nichols is not only smart, she's quite intelligent, cunning and she's drop dead gorgeous with her chestnut hair and deep emerald green eyes. She's strong, determined and resilient. She's brave. And above all else, she's a survivor. Initially, in book #1- The Consequences Series..... Claire is kidnapped and isolated...she must follow the rules or suffer the consequences....the repercussions. But not only does she survive...she thrives! Book #2 Truth shows us, though conflicted with her emotions.. just how strong she actually is...This third installment Convicted ...hashes out all the secrets & scandal...the rewards are worth the journey.

I loved this third installment of this trilogy...I loved how this Author gives us (the reader) a brief historical synopsis of each supporting/main character & how they all play into this fabulous plot. Genius! Doing so makes the reader even more emotionally invested. It keeps us apprised of what's happening behind the scenes as well as what leads up to the scene we're reading.

This is a story of Claires' continual fight for survival while trying to unite with Tony. It's the story a man having so much power that you control all things....ALL THINGS.....but with one person, you discover you control nothing. Tony has come full circle from the night he signed a contract on a paper napkin in a pub with Claire...a contract that gave him ownership of another person - - but what he actually acquired was her soul. And after limitless, painful, contractual disputes and labor issues...in the end...Claire's soul found residence in Tony.

This story is an amazing, long and painful journey of the power healing and renewal...but the final destination was worth it all in the end.

Convicted was the perfect conclusion to Tony and Claire's story. It had several ups and downs. As always the story is brilliantly constructed by Romig, with past/present scenes, but also follows several different characters throughout the book.. making it ever so hard to put down. This book wasn't as dark and edgy as the previous books, but it was still a big mindfuk! I think the first 70% of the book was the calm before the storm, don't take that as me saying the first 70% was boring, because that it wasn't! The beginning of the book opens with a plot twist, then switches to a different story line. Romig slowly gives you a few more bits in pieces that were intermingling with the story line that left off from Truth. All the while you're show more waiting on the pin to drop.

Then it does, and you don't know whether to hate the author or to praise her. Just when you think.. oh well, we're out of the woods..

Your heart gets broken.. and you kinda feel a bit..

It kinda makes you wonder who the true sadist is.. the old Tony or Aleatha Romig ;-) lol

I love Harry! He is so loyal! Phil, is just an awesome dude! Claire's character is a bit harder to relate to in this book, but you'll have to read the book to understand why. Though, you see her growth throughout the series.

I did kind of missed the sadistic side of Tony.. not necessarily the monster side.. but the side where he got everything he wanted. I know that love has changed him, still, I would have liked to see him take his last bit out on "the bad guy." He was brooding in this book, unsure of himself, not really the confident guy that you are used to. BUT I get it in the grand scheme of things! There isn't a thing I would change about this book, every question gets answered.

Do I recommend this book and series to my friends.. Hell Yeah! It keeps you on your toes, and make you think. Makes you question yourself and what you'd tolerate in the name of love. Even if you run the risk of alcoholism by the end, it's truly worth it!

And she did it again! Thank you so much for writing this series Ms. Aleatha. Never before have I had the pleasure of reading a series where I love all books equally. This series messed me up in a way that I can't see myself liking any book in the future as much as I liked these.
I won't go into the blurb and the story, don't really want to spoil anything for anyone. I just want to say that I'm still thinking about this story and these characters ages after I finished reading about them. They feel real to me, their story feels real to me. I feel part of it somehow and I'm really happy that I got to experience it.
And now I can't wait to read Tony's POV! My poor heart, not sure it can take all this wait again.
Amazing. This is probably the first book where my heart actually broke. In Convicted we find out who did it and why! Of course as we know everything has a consequence. The turmoil that Clair and Tony go through in this book is heartbreaking. This is the first book that gasped while reading. You will find yourself so angry during so many points in this book. Ms. Roming has really taken us on a journey of love and loss. The worst thing I did was read while at work during my lunch hour. There were times I had tears in my eyes due to the pain the characters had. The last few chapters are a whirlwind of emotions. I just keep hoping things would end right.

4.5 stars!
Truth left us with our jaws hanging open and wondering. Wondering WTH! Well, Convicted kind of starts out that way. You are left a little confused for a short while in the beginning.
Then things start to kick in. Things start to click in place. You are wanting Claire and Tony together... But unsure if the way things are around them if that will happen! You are left asking yourself for a quite a while, why can't they just get everyone out of their way and just get things the way they should?
Claire has to protect hers. Tony needs to protect what is his. The turmoil that surrounds their circumstances makes it seem almost impossible. All the while, the ones who have pulled things apart and torn their relationship to shreds needs to show more be brought to justice.
Just when you thought all of the secrets have been laid before you... there are more! The secrets go deeper than we could have thought. Things are going to get hairy before they have a small chance of working themselves out...
Trust is one thing that none of the characters have much of. The lines of what really is going on are so blurred, I almost thought that those involved would never see through the smoke!
I am not a spoiler... hence my cryptic review. It is hard to write about this book without giving too much away! I have read reviews that I would not have wanted to read before I read the book. I never want to know more than the bare necessities of a story before I read it. So that is what I am giving you. Trust me, this is a must read. It is the grand finale to the series, and it goes out with a bang or two!

Wow! There aren't enough stars to express how much I loved it!!! The best of the series!! I mean I was already a huge fan of the first two books but the third book was amazing!!

"Their relationship had been a poker tournament, unquestionably, they had not been dealt the best cards."

That is like the understatement of the year. Tony had been involved in an elaborate vendetta to avenge his deranged grandfather but at some point he no longer wanted to fulfill his promise. He had fallen in love with one of his targets.

"When faced with the same odds as Tony and Claire, many players would have folded and walked away. They hadn't, they continued to play."

In the beginning, Tony carefully planned and then proceeded to do many unforgivable show more things to Clare. Things most would have a hard time getting past but she was able to forgive him (after a lot of convincing from him) and fall for the man buried underneath.

"At one point, they were opponents, strategizing against one another, now they were teammates but the tournament wasn't over."

Tony wasn't trying to harm or get back at Claire anymore but he didn't know how to stop plans that were already in motion. Gone was the man with the cold, black stare and in his place was a vulnerable man with warm brown eyes who loved Claire with all of his heart. He was no longer this evil and calculating man who planned "accidents" but one who would spend the rest of his life making up for all the wrong he's caused if it meant he could be with Claire.

This is what Tony looks like to me!

He hardened my heart, then broke it, healed it and finally melted it over the course of this series! Aleatha Romig is a brilliant writer and I wish there were more although I don't think my heart could take any more abuse!!

Tony is also my Man Flavor Friday pick! http://www.rebelbookchicks.com/man-flavor-fridays.html

OMG I didn't think I would ever finish this book. I read extremely fast, a fairly large book a day is very easy for me. I started this when it came out and just finished this morning! I had to stop constantly to settle my mind and heart. I have never skipped to the end of a book, but this one had me so torn that I almost had to do it. I didn't skip ahead, but did feel like I might just kill over any minute. I was dying for nerve meds, but didn't do that either. Somehow I made it though.

I have to say that this series will remain a favorite of mine. I will never forget it. Sometimes I love a book, but in a few months I can't remember that much about it. I know I will never have that problem with this series. No other books compare show more to this series, definitely in a class of it's own. I also wanted to note that I loved how everything was done realistically and fully explained- medical occurrences, legal proceedings, psychological ramifications, the non-perfection, the acceptance, the pros and cons, the ups and downs, the good and the bad, the lengths of everything, the fallback of everything, the workings out of everything... I need a cigarette now that it's over-And I don't even smoke! This is truly a book hangover like no other! Shew, just happy we made it out the other side. And "The Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades"  Thank you Aleatha Romig
