Children's literature and not especially great but tracks a good idea. Humans have somehow evolved into creatures with eyes on either sides of their heads and their throwback 'normal_now' children are considered 'children of violence' with the predatory ability to focus well enough to leap and kill. These poor kids get sent to a training facility in the desert where they lead brutal warrior lives. Jeth, a young warrior, is accused of breaking warrior law and is exiled from the Keep taking him on a voyage of discovery.
