Genre: Fantasy
Critique: The Steadfast Tin Soldier meets the criteria for a fantasy because in real life toys to not become animate objects. The plot is not realistically plausible, but shows the struggle that the toy soldier faces.
Plot: Throughout the story, the tin soldier faces conflicts with nature, other animals, and location. He finally makes it back home only to have the resolution come with both the tin soldier and the ballerina melting in the stove.
