Cognitive behavioural therapy offers some of the best tools currently available to increase the amount of positivity (and so, the net happiness) in your life by allowing you overcome and reframe much of the negativity currently around you. None of us aspires to become Pollyanna, so the goal is never to reduce negativity to zero, but there is plenty of room in pretty well all our lives to reduce the amount of gratuitous negativity we experience. Cognitive behavioural therapy helps with this, big time, if you're willing to put in the time and effort to stick with the practices. ( )
