A Pride and Prejudice variation where Georgiana Darcy visits her brother while he is staying at Netherfield Park with the Bingleys. Here she is introduced to Elizabeth Bennet and without her brother's knowledge invites her to stay at Darcy House while Darcy is away. Soon he returns home unexpectedly early...
A very enjoyable read.
Imagine if Lizzie Bennett was a houseguest at Darcy’s home after becoming friends with Georgiana. That’s the premise of this & it is a fun read. I loved the author’s Groundhog Day style book The 26th of November” more, but still enjoyed this one. It’s Pride and Prejudice fanfic, but in a very fun way. I loved Darcy‘s confrontation with his Aunt Catherine & felt that this was perhaps a more realistic version of what Charlotte‘s life would be like. I also loved seeing Georgiana find a sister in Lizzie.

The writing style was very nice and seemed to peg the Austen-style voice well. Could have used some editing - some unimportant scenes just kept going, some important scenes were brief or non-existent. A few of the mannerisms struck me as out of character or, in Caroline’s case, a bit of a caricature, which was jarring against the overall well-done style of the book. One of the better written Austen fanfics but nothing plot-wise to really distinguish itself.
This book was a lot of fun and I thought the author did a really good job of bringing the characters to life. I especially loved Colonel Fiztwilliam in this book and the way he was written. The epilogue at the end did a really good job of tying everyone's story up and overall this book was a great read. I am definitely planning on reading more by this author.
Overall, quite a good book. Very well written - something I wish more self-published, Austen-inspired novels aspired to.

I look forward to reading more from this author.
