"Chessy and Tate have been married for several years. In the beginning, their relationship was everything she wanted. Passionate. All-consuming. She offered her submission freely and Tate cherished her gift with a tenderness that made her feel safe. Content. Wanted. Loved beyond all measure. But as the years have gone by, Tate has become more immersed in making his business a success, and Chessy has taken a back seat to his business obligations. Growing unhappy with the status of their once show more blissful marriage, Chessy knows that something has to give, or they stand to lose it all. Tate loves his wife. Has always loved her. Providing for her has always been his number-one priority. But lately she's seemed unhappy, and he's worried. Worried enough that he arranges for a night together that he hopes will reignite the fire that once burned like an inferno between them. But a business call at the wrong time threatens everything. Chessy's safety, his concentration, his wife's faith in him as her husband--a man sworn to love and protect her above all else. Gutted with the realization that he's going to lose her--has already lost her--he readies for the fight of his life. Whatever it takes, he'll get her back, show her that nothing is more important than her love. And that if she'll allow him to prove himself one more time, he'll take it all. Everything. But he'll give back far more: Himself. His undying love. "-- show lessTags

This thrilling conclusion to Maya Banks’ Surrender Trilogy is sure to take your breath away!
All Chessy wants is her husband back. Her lover. Her Dominant. But for the past two years, he’s devoted more and more of his time into his business and less and less into their relationship. Chessy just wants to have the passion, the desire, and most of all the security that comes from their marriage. As their anniversary approaches, Chessy knows it’s now or never so she finally tells Tate how she feels. Devastated that he’s let it get this far, Tate promises to once again make her a priority. To show her how much he means to her, Tate showers her with love, affection, and gifts. He even plans a night to remember at The House, a dominance show more club they used to visit frequently. But when a client’s call comes in the middle of their special night, Tate foolishly takes the call and puts not only Chessy’s life in danger, but her security, her trust, and her love. Vowing to win Chessy back once and for all, Tate decides to make some changes that are sure to show her how much she really means. But is it too little too late or will Chessy find it in her heart to forgive Tate and allow him to once again hold the key to her heart?
I loved this book, but after reading about Chessy and Tate in the previous two novels, I had no doubts that I would. From heated arguments to passionate love scenes, this book will take you through every emotion imaginable. The book is mostly written from Chessy’s point of view but does have some sections/chapters that are written from Tate’s. While I did feel for Tate and his obliviousness to the situation he was creating at home, I mostly wanted to slap him for being so darn stupid! I simply adore Chessy. She’s radiant, beautiful, and most of all…..forgiving. I thought every part of her story was very realistic. The self-doubt, anger, depression, and confusion are all things that someone who was going through a really rough patch in their relationship would experience. I also really enjoyed how much the storyline included characters from the previous novels in the series, Joss and Dash, Kylie and Jenson. It’s always an added bonus to me when you get to read about what’s happening with those characters now, even though it’s not “their” book. I thought that Ms. Banks did a superb job with not only Chessy and Tate’s story, but also with closing out this series in general. A very well written, highly entertaining novel by Maya Banks. Don’t miss this novel, I promise….You will regret it!

I liked Chessy and Tate's story. I thought the storyline flowed easily. I loved the friendship/sisterhood between the three girls. It was special. Overall the book was sexy, hot, romantic and sweet but wished there was more BDSM considering their backgrounds and relationship.
Chessy Morgan, Tate Morgan
Jensen, Kylie, Joss, Dash
The Characters
Chessy and Tate were just okay to me as characters. I won't say I bonded with either of them but I felt for their situations. The friends seemed a bit overbearing in this book. I supposed they were supposed to come off as protective and maybe even over protective but they over stepped to me. No one gave Chessy the chance to really make up her mind until her heart to heart with Joss and Kylie at the end.
The Story
First I'm glad Chessy finally grew a backbone and told Tate she was unhappy and I'm sad he never figured it out for himself. By all accounts Chessy was not a great lair so he really had to not be paying attention. And speaking of not paying attention who would have show more imagined the outcome of his one moment of inattention at The House.
Random Thoughts
*I would really like to know how James (I think his name is James) managed to get over on Damon but I guess that will be an unsolved mystery.
*I was very happy with the Epilogue.
*It was good to still see some of the relationship dynamics between Joss/Dash and Kylie/Jensen even though they were secondary in this book.
Overall I enjoyed the book. 3.5 Stars show less

This wasn't my favorite of the series. Especially after Tate has his first come to Jesus moment and his royal f-up. Given what is implied by the story it's hard to believe what happened to Chessy. So not my favorite and didn't feel very believable given previous information and books.
