Little Emily and the bear-dog were cute, though. Blargh slavery, blargh rapey, blargh, blargh, blargh. Lots of people being horrible to each other with kind of a lame back story, and a completely unbelievable love story. Even with the negatives, I liked the world a lot and would continue the series. Maybe Ilona Andrews will write more in this world someday. (
