A good continuation

I am enjoying the series. It is pretty simple reading and most of the story line is real good. Some parts of the book aren't 100% period correct. Some of the writing pertaining to how the Queen is treated is a little far fetched. Overall I would still read this book and series. ( )

It's an awesome and breath-taking book. Though it's not as unpredictable as the first book—The Key. Like, for example, when I saw the character—the guy who Vesha likes (okay, I'm sorry I forgot his name...), that there would (and must) be a triangle-love struggle later on. Oh! And am I right?! That's exactly what happened, when the guy-that-Vesha-loves told Amer-Rema that he loves her, she' was actually dumb enough to be surprised! I mean, she could've sensed something was strange, right? Even though this book may be a little unpredictable, I still enjoyed it. One day was all it takes to finish this short but adventurous book. I don't know what to say right now, but I CAN'T WAIT TILL MAY WHEN THE THIRD AND LAST BOOK IS OUT!! :D ( )

Rema wanted the last thing she saw to be of something beautiful. Scanning the crowd of unfamiliar faces, she spotted Darmik dressed in his commander’s uniform off to the side of the courtyard atop Nightsky. He must not have ever loved her—their entire relationship had to have been some sort of game. Hurt and betrayal raged inside of her. Not wanting to die like this, Rema focused on his horse—the only connection to her home in this dreadful place. As if sensing her, Nightsky’s head turned toward Rema. She stared into his dark, knowledgeable eyes. Tears blurred her vision, but she couldn’t look away. Images of Uncle Kar and Aunt Maya filled her with a sense of peace.
