Possibly the best book for beginning heathenry I've read, and I've read most all of them. A thorough discussion of gods, goddesses, wights, time, fate and magic, all with a complete understanding of the background. The only ding I can put here is it's organization - that could've been a bit better. But nonetheless I cannot recommend this book highly enough.
As a side note to the only other review here on LibraryThing at this time, let me note that there's absolutely nothing political in here, "woke" or otherwise. I might suggest the reviewer read the book before dismissing it based on some erroneous surfing of the author's background. ( )

Dropped and shelved after checking out the author and her groups. An irreligious ultra-woke harpy who puts up a facade of inclusivity to pander to the rejects of society. I refuse to waste my precious time and read whatever this facetious clown has to offer, the original Norse believers would have bludgeoned her and her followers to death. ( )
