A novel with four main characters who interact to find a meaning of things gone awry. First, a strange man appears in an old castle from a different time and a young woman swears to send the ailing man back. She calls on her romantic best friend to help her and learns all the intricacies of romance through the pages of books. But then a mysterious murder, another time traveler and figuring out that a witch is the culprit who just so happens to be a long lost relative from the past. All in all, a good start to a series.
I felt lost in some places and I only finished it just to say that I finished it. I feel that it needed some work in some places. I really enjoy a story that draws me in from the very beginning. The beginning was good...and then all of a sudden, I lost interest!
A fantastic book if you love Highlander based novels and time travel!
