She would like to think she is just an ordinary woman, but she's not. She has a show more connection to the spirit world that seems to draw her into mysterious situations more often than not. When Darcy's neighbor is murdered, she is drawn into the mystery against her will when she finds the body. She tries to leave the investigation to the police, one of which is her sister's, but an overheard conversation and a small nudge from the other side has her investigating the murder. The stakes are raised when the murderer strikes again.
A young adult book. The mystery is very light-weight and poorly plotted. If you like to solve the mystery as you read the clues given are few and may be refuted as you read further in the story

I liked this book although I do think it was kind of rushed. The story moved faster than I would have liked. Also, Darcy had a tendency to jump to conclusions which kind of irritated me. She thought Jon was the killer and then she was kissing him and she no longer thought he was the killer. It was an otherwise enjoyable book.
The story was fun, and the characters were intriguing. Small town drama as you'd expect. The writing left more to be desired. The book repeated it self many times, as if we forgot key points in the investigation etc. as we were reading.
This was a very quick read, cozy mystery. Darcy Sweet is the owner of a bookstore that she inherited from her aunt, who's ghost now inhabits the store. Darcy has visions/dreams and can see ghosts. When her friend, Anna, turns up dead, Darcy tries to find the killer. Grace, her sister, is a police officer and Jon, her sister's partner, adds a little romance. The characters were not well developed, but I am hoping we learn more about them in future books.
Fun, fast, read.
