Ten year old Rose and her family spend there time planning for their escape to the south of France where they can be away from the Nazi's. From the front cover you can see she is a girl that needs your sympathy. On the front cover is a picture frame with a picture of her. A family photo no doubt. The glass in the photo represents her shattered life under Nazi rule. ( )
