"Peter Rabbit's Cookery Book" is a cookbook with recipes inspired by characters from Beatrix Potter's "Peter Rabbit" series. In the beginning of the book is a "Before You Begin" page telling the reader (who is assumed to be a child) the read through the recipes carefully and to get an adult to help them with the stove, oven, knives, and any other thing that may be too hard for children to handle. The rest of the book is just recipes, and many of them actually sounded pretty good. The measurements are all listed in metric and imperial, which is great for teaching kids unit conversions. Cute illustrations from the "Peter Rabbit" series are also on each page. The whole book is very dainty and quaint, which is my favorite part about it. The show more most useful thing this book could be used for- besides teaching children different recipes and cooking skills- would be to teach measurements and unit conversions to children. show less
Peter Rabbit's Cookery Book is something fun to do with young readers. Children love to cook and above all, they love to help. This book is a great way of keeping kids entertained.
