Continuation for another three years of the author's journals as he enters his eighties. Mind still sharp, and he discusses a wide range of literary and more local matters. On the way it gives a good picture of the way a certain slice of society operates. Very readable, helps if you know something about literature, but not essential. He deals patiently with the irritating minutaie of life as one grows older
Trivia note: his grand-daughter Georgia, who appears in these pages as a classics student at Oxford, is now a Duchess. You never know what will happen in life........... ( )
