I found this book by chance in my local library. I adore this little book, I had no idea what to expect from the title. I think the book comes under 'Chic Lit' but it so much more, the characters in this book come to life, the little village of fiddlesticks makes you wish you lived there. A young modern woman leaves her fast pace life behind and moves to a little village called fiddlesticks, she finds the people she meets very strange at first, they all seem to believe in the magic of the moon and stars, and old traditions, they hold very amusing rites for these beliefs, to the bewilderment of the main character. But after a while she begins to fall in love with the loveable characters and starts to believe in the magic....... I cannot show more say more without ruining the story. The story is well written, follows through and has a nicley finished ending. If you enjoy humour, great characters, an adorable setting and a bit of magic......I recommend this book! show less
A little twee for me, a bit crowded with characters but an ok read
