Christina Pirello became a vegetarian at the age of fourteen. In 1983, after being diagnosed with terminal leukemia, she decided to forgo conventional medical therapies and turned to nutrition--and whole foods cooking--to cure herself. For the past eight years, Christina has been teaching whole foods cooking classes, catering, and lecturing show more nationwide. She and her husband also publish a bi-monthly natural foods magazine, MacroChef.
