I think this is the book my grandmother owned, which she used to let me look at as a child, it had lovely B&W cartoon-like illustrations with the text beneath, but also prints of famous paintings eg. The Light of the World by William Holman Hunt. I used to love looking at this, wish I could find a copy.
I love the detailed illustrations in this one.
This book was given to us as children from our Grand Father, Irwin S. Orput
