Fashion student Lacey Weston is desperate to leave the city and go home to Jumbuck Springs. Her three older brothers are adamant she’s not. They made a death bed promise to their mother that Lacey would stay the distance at design school and Ethan, the oldest, takes this responsibility very seriously. But Lacey is deeply homesick and determined not to be dissuaded again. She’s also impulsive enough to try anything - even faking a pregnancy. Ex-cop turned mechanic, Cooper Grainger - one of Ethan’s oldest friends - agrees to watch out for Lacey in the city even though he has a history with her he’d rather forget. How hard could it be, right? But a couple of years later, Coop is over pulling Lacey out of scrapes and cleaning up her messes as she tries to outrun her grief and sense of dislocation. He takes her back to Jumbuck Springs so she can persuade her brothers to let her come home. But things don’t go according to plan. Before Coop knows it Lacey’s pregnant and he’s putting his hand up as the fake baby daddy, filling in for the town mechanic and moving in with her at the local pub. Some Girls Do by Amy AndrewsMy rating: 5 of 5 starsFor Lacey the last couple years of her life has been full of upheaval. The loss of her mother when she needs her most has left her spiraling out of control. Her emotions are all over the place, her decisions are proving risking and the people she is supposed to be apple to count on have turned that back on her. In her mind she is on her own. Coop sees a kindred spirit in the tortured young woman with the bad attitude. He has been dealing with a number of crisis in his own life. Lacey brings out his protective instincts. Among other things. A lost of control, a surprise revelation and the differences in their ages are obstacles he can't ignore. Facing fears, coping with loss and growing up are all explored within this novel. I received an ARC of Some Girls Do by Amy Andrews in exchange for an honest review. Loved it! Amy Andrews brings us another superb story. This one is filled with some amazing characters and I can't wait to read their stories too. Lacey and Cooper meet in a bar and have an amazing night together. Imagine their surprise when they find out she's his best friends sister! Adding to the crazy is the fact that she is much younger than the 24 she told Cooper and his friend is asking him to keep an eye on her while she's attending design school in Brisbane. After a terrible breakup Lacey decides it's time to return home and asks Cooper to help her. If Cooper thought their past was crazy, wait until he sees what his future holds!!!

I definitely recommend everyone grab a copy of this one. ( )
