This curriculum brings back some of the best memories of my children's growing years. It taught me how to teach, it helped us form a community of homeschoolers for support and friendships and it provided hours and hours of fun with learning for our whole family. Based on character training and unit studies, it gives the family a profound amount of ideas and references for studying language, science, writing, history, math, art, music, social studies and on and on. It is geared towards elementary aged children, but with a little creativeness, high school studies can also go along with it. The best part is that it is something the whole family participates in, each at their own level. We had a co-op group of 6-10 families for about five show more years who planned once a month event days for the children to participate as a group and share what they had been learning. I'm putting this same review on the other two volumes of Konos Curriculum, because we loved them all. Each volume covers about two grades worth of materials. They are flexible so that the family can do studies in their own time. show less
I liked this book alot however, it wasn't for me. I like structure and this style of teaching is for those that want to make their own lesson plans and go their own course. I would say it is perfect for those with that style of teaching.
