This is such a fun take on an alphabet book...it tells a story of a mouse being chased by a dog using each letter of the alphabet
Overall, I enjoyed reading this book. I read it to my son who is 3 years old and he really enjoyed it too! He liked to repeat the letter and the word that was associated with the letter. This book is basically just the ABC's that have one word that goes with each letter, while also being formed into a little story as well. It's pretty cute for younger children!
The illustrations also really add to the story. They are bright and fun and help keep the interest of young, wandering minds!
This is a very adorable alphabet book. It teaches the alphabet while having an intriguing plot and teaching friendship. This would be a great story for young children learning the alphabet because of these reasons and the cartoonish illustrations would also peak their interest.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It is a cute way to introduce the ABCs and how to sequence the abc's in the correct order. It gives the reader an interesting turn to the events and how the alphabet goes along. It is something that adds life to the story. I would recommend this book for the lower elementary grade levels and even prekindergarten. This book starts off with a little mouse asleep until a ball comes bouncing into the room and awakes the mouse. This then sends him on a chase and an adventure. Overall, this is a great book that brings the ABCs to life instead of just singing the same old song that everybody has grown up knowing.

This was very unique. Other books have used the alphabet to tell a story, but they are usually long and wordy. This book uses one word a page per letter (sometimes two) to tell a story of a dog who makes friends with a mouse. It was lovely.

-Clever way to introduce actions, verbs, and the alphabet at the same time
-Takes critical thinking skills and a certain level/ability to infer what's going on
-Plain white background highlights the actions of the narrative
-Each alphabet letter in a word is a different color to indicate it as the letter
-Cartoon style is fun and reminiscent of Tom and Jerry

This book shows the alphabet by telling the story of a dog who is chasing a cat. I like how this book highlights the alphabet and is informational for children, but I did not like some of the phrases they used for some of the letters in the alphabet. The story did not make complete sense.
