This is fun and interesting with a mix of discussions and animation and live filming of castles. This one was filmed in 1983. The subject matter is really the great fortifications built by Edward I in Wales. Describes their context, Edward's subjugation of Wales, their construction, their use, and their obsolescence over the course of the next few hundred years as cannon came into use and the Welsh became more pacified.
