Whilst Castafiore, Flight 714 and Picaros mayn't be among the best Tintin adventures, my volume of this book is notable for also including the unfinished "Tintin and Alph-Art" in sketch form with a text translation of the speech and action. This is surely Tintin back at his best for his swan song, in an adventure involving cults and art fraud. The very last page sees Tintin about to be encased in polyester as an artwork, with only Snowy to see him out of his dilemma -- could there be any better note on which to end the entire Tintin series?
