The Pelican Brief was John Grisham's 3rd novel, and with The Firm one of the first two to spawn a blockbuster movie. I greatly enjoyed the abridged audio version of this work. I found the plot intriguing, and the action engaging, and thought Anthony Heald's narration to be skillfully done. Although the audio version was abridged to 8.5 hrs in length, there were no noticeable gaps in the story line and no apparent loose ends. I would certainly read the written version at some point, and plan to see the movie again.
