WOW, I loved this book. Appropriate for women who are interested in tech (broadly) as a career. I felt enormously empowered as I read this book, like I was getting a Real Talk from a friend who truly has the desire to see me succeed.
I haven't read other how-to books about working in the tech industry, so in addition to be geared towards women, this book has the benefit of addressing topics that are all new to me. It's also an appropriate book for men, but the advice is definitely written with women in mind, which might be a turn-off for some. It's also appropriate for women in a variety of fields other than the tech industry, although, again, it is specifically geared towards that world.
The format includes advice as well as essays from show more contributors. Not all of the essays did it for me, but I liked the format because I felt that there was a great effort made to capture a variety of stories--in their own words--about diverse women in tech.
If you are a woman in tech or thinking about being a woman in tech (full-time or side hustle) you should definitely read this book. show less
