This is a very controversial book that I somehow ended up with. I rate it highly only because it has images not found elsewhere about tribal people. However, it has a voyeuristic aspects that make the pictures insulting to the subjects. Maybe this is why their is no state author for this text, and there is no copyright. Images are from all over the world, and captions are often limited in explanatory detail about origin.
"Now I'm not racist..." but I really love outdated ethnographies. It is a great source for photos of natives looking impassively at a camera, pillaged from uncredited sources and sold as pornography.
No Date, No Author, No page numbers. Sepia toned photos of mostly primitive people from all continents.
